Veterinary Facility Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Veterinary Facility Support Specialist. This non-clinical position will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall functionality of our veterinary facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Veterinary Facility Support Specialist

• Perform daily cleaning tasks throughout the facility, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Ensure all areas of the facility, including exam rooms, treatment areas, waiting rooms, and restrooms are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
• Assist with stocking and organizing inventory, including veterinary supplies, medications, and equipment.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Adhere to established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
• Participate in training sessions and meetings as required to stay current on cleaning procedures and best practices.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to work around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, and unpleasant odors.
• Ability to provide high quality customer service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred.
• Previous experience in environmental services or housekeeping

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat most of the workday.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
