Position Overview:

As a veterinary assistant/technician at Zebulon Animal Hospital, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Gathering patient histories and initiating client education

- Assisting during surgical procedures and monitoring patients

- Providing attentive care for hospitalized patients

- Conducting follow-up calls to clients

- Safely restraining patients for various procedures

- Participating in radiograph procedures

- Administering IV & IM injections

- Dispensing controlled medications with precision

- Placing and maintaining IV catheters, feeding tubes, and urinary catheters

- Performing cytologies to aid in diagnoses

- Adhering to opening and closing protocols for the hospital

- Upholding routine cleaning and sanitization practices

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a veterinary setting

- Proficiency in AVImark (experience is a plus)

- A keen attention to detail

- Strong communication skills

- Exceptional multitasking abilities

- A positive and professional demeanor, even in fast-paced situations

Work Schedule:

Our hospital operates during the following hours:

- Monday to Friday: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm

- Saturday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

- Closed on Sundays
