Kennel Technician Job Responsibilities:

As a Kennel Technician at Oak Heart South Saunders, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of our facility. Your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Animal Care and Supervision: Provide compassionate and responsible care to all boarding and daycare pets. Ensure their safety, comfort, and health are top priorities.

2. Feeding and Medication: Prepare and administer meals and medications as per individual pet requirements, adhering to prescribed schedules and dietary instructions.

3. Exercise and Playtime: Engage in regular play sessions and supervised group interactions to keep our furry guests active, entertained, and socially stimulated.

4. Cleaning and Sanitization: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kennel areas, including regular cleaning of cages, play yards, and common spaces.

5. Customer Interaction: Interact professionally and courteously with pet parents, providing updates on their pets and addressing any concerns or questions.

6. Monitoring Health and Behavior: Observe pets for any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes, promptly reporting to the on-duty veterinarian or supervisor.

7. Supporting Facility Operations: Assist in various tasks such as receiving new pet guests, completing intake paperwork, organizing supplies, and ensuring proper inventory management.
