Wake Veterinary Medical Center has openings for full-time, experienced General Practice Assistants/Technicians to join our department. We are hiring for the day shifts in this department.

Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:

• Provide general animal practice wellness and critical care skills to patients.
• Provide care to hospitalized animals.
• Conduct lab diagnostics as necessary
• Take radiographs and assist with imaging procedures.
• Place IV catheters and monitor fluid therapy.
• Provide client education and animal care skills.

Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician Requirements:

• Good technical skills with the ability to work independently or as a team member.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Cornerstone software is a plus.
• Previous experience working with animals preferred.
