Customer Service Representative (part-time)

Office: Points East Veterinary Emergency Hospital
Location: Fayetteville, NC

We work with over 100 general practice veterinary hospitals in our region. We are staffed with emergency care clinicians 24 hours a day to receive new cases, monitor hospitalized patients, and care for surgery service patients. Working closely with your regular veterinarian, we are an extension of the excellent service they provide you and your pets.

Our hospital has a compassionate team of experienced veterinarians and support staff focused on emergency and critical care veterinary medicine. From minor injuries to upset stomachs to severe trauma, we are well equipped and ready to help your pets 24 hours a day.

We provide your regular veterinarian with a complete report on the treatment your pet received as well as its medical status and needs for any follow-up care.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and interacting with clients in a friendly, professional, efficient manner
  • Receiving and managing incoming calls on a multi-line phone system, able to utilize and transfer calls.
  • Reviewing estimates and consent forms with clients
  • Receiving deposits and payments and explaining payment options to clients
  • Communicating with referring veterinarians
  • Admitting clients, including entering and updating client/patient information
  • Obtaining medical and other information from referring veterinarians when needed
  • Checking patients into the hospital according to priority
  • Scheduling and preparing patient files.
  • Balancing the cash drawer/keeping the daily report up to date
  • Ensuring safe, effective, and efficient medical processes from check-in to discharge
  • Providing medical information to clients and answering questions as directed by a veterinarian or technician.
  • Enter medical information into Instinct
  • Communicating efficiently with the staff members to organize case flow.
  • Janitorial duties of the lobby, reception area, restroom, pharmacy, lab, exam rooms, and parking lot
  • Keeping exam rooms stocked
  • Dispensing medications and printing labels
  • Faxing, filing, stocking, and mailing if needed.
  • Opening/closing reception duties, locking up, cleaning, mopping, taking out the trash, etc.
