Duties:
- Provide compassionate and responsible care to all boarding and daycare pets. Ensure their safety, comfort, and health are top priorities.
- Prepare and administer meals and medications as per individual pet requirements, adhering to prescribed schedules and dietary instructions.
- Engage in regular play sessions and supervised group interactions to keep our furry guests active, entertained, and socially stimulated.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kennel areas, including regular cleaning of cages, play yards, and common spaces.
- Interact professionally and courteously with pet parents, providing updates on their pets and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Observe pets for any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes, promptly reporting to the on-duty veterinarian or supervisor.
- Assist in various tasks such as receiving new pet guests, completing intake paperwork, organizing supplies, and ensuring proper inventory management.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless coordination and teamwork, providing the best possible care for our furry residents.

Required Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to always communicate professionally and effectively and maintain professionalism in emotionally charged / challenging situations.
- Ability to provide high quality customer service.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
- Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, and unpleasant odors.
- The role involves active engagement with pets, including lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Meticulous attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and safety is crucial to maintain a healthy environment for our pets.
Education & Experience:
- While prior experience in a similar role is a plus, we welcome dedicated animal lovers with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat most of the workday.
- The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to ten pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to forty pounds with or without accommodation.
